  • Wilfully take or kill a badger
  • Injure or ill-treat a badger
  • Obstruct a badger sett
  • Damage any part of a badger sett
  • Injure a badger within the sett
  • Disturb animals within a sett
Badgers are protected under the Badgers Act 1992 and Schedule 6 of the Wildlife and Contryside Act 1981 (as amended). A licence is required if badgers or their setts are likely to be disturbed, prior to any work or development commencing.
